| California Hispanic Publishers Group
is a company of Hispanic owned newspapers in the state of California.
The publishers of our group have been active members, founders
and organizers of various State and National newspaper organizations,
such as the National Association of Hispanic Publications (NAHP),
The Federation of Hispanic Owned Newspapers (NFHON), Hispanic
Newspaper Network (HNN), and the California Hispanic Publishers
Association (CHPA). Of all the projections and objectives within
these organizations, none have satisfied the needs of our publications.
For that reason we have come together to form and represent ourselves
as publishers, for publishers and by publishers for purpose of
obtaining business for our publications. |
On July 5th, the year 2000, the
Secretary of the State of California granted George Villalobos
articles of organization for the California Hispanic Publishers
Group (CHPG). This group was organized for the purpose of creating
a newspaper publishing service. Signing as the organizers are:
Sergio Velázquez - Miniondas-Farándula USA, from
Orange County; Jaime and Ana Castañeda - Hispanos Unidos,
from San Diego County; Ricardo Ron and Carmen Ruiz - El Latino,
from San Francisco; and Roberto Castellon - La Nueva Prensa de
California, from Contra Costa County. |
